Our Pastor — Rev. Paul Willweber
Pastor Willweber was born on February 24, 1968 in Mission Hills, CA. On March 24, 1968 he was baptized into the Christian faith at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church. He grew up in Granada Hills, a community of Los Angeles. He received a degree in Communication from Concordia College in Seward, NE in 1991. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 1995 with a Master of Divinity and was ordained. His first call was to serve as the assistant pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Odessa, TX. In 1998 he was called to Prince of Peace, where he continues to serve as pastor.
In 1996 he married Sara Dodge, who is from Huntington Beach, CA. God has blessed them with four children. Their oldest son, Ryan, was called to his eternal home in heaven when he was 17, having died in a car accident on April 30, 2015. Cory is attending Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN in order to become a pastor. Katy is a middle school math teacher. Sean attends San Diego State University.
Pastor and his family love traveling. He particularly enjoys music, reading, TV, movies, theology, language, and sports. He is a life-long Laker fan and a die-hard Padre fan.
